Qatar Museums Hosting Exciting July 2025 Programme

This July, Qatar Museums presents a vibrant lineup of summer-inspired events for families, children, and culture enthusiasts.

Across iconic venues like Mathaf, the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), M7, Dadu Children’s Museum, the 3‑2‑1 Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum, Fire Station, and the Public Art Department, activities range from art workshops and storytelling sessions to archaeology camps and technical talks.

Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art

• Smart Dialogue (1 July, 4–5:30 pm): A workshop on communication and research skills.

• Mindful Movement (8–9 July, 11 am–1 pm): Family dance and music workshop for ages 7–12.

• Colourful Creation (23 & 26 July): Kids explore painting, drawing, and colour mixing techniques.

National Museum of Qatar

• Storytelling – Grandmother’s Toys (3 July, 5–6 pm): Bilingual tales celebrating summer with toys.

• Guided Tour–Water Shortage (5 & 19 July): Sessions in English (1–2:30 pm) and Arabic (4–5:30 pm) on Qatar’s water‑conservation efforts.

• Drop‑in–Unlocking the Power of Water (6 July): Explore the history and importance of water via artefact displays.

Museum of Islamic Art (MIA)

• Summer Camp – We Are What We Eat (6–8 July, 9:30 am–1:30 pm): Hands‑on food, identity and sustainability workshops for ages 7–10.

• Story Time (7 July):

• Curator-led tour – A Seat at the Table (22 July, 12–1 pm): Explore food culture in the Islamic world.

Dadu, Children’s Museum of Qatar

• Dig & Discover (12 July, 5–6:30 pm): Archaeology workshop with mock pottery excavation (ages 6–10).

• Dadu Investigators Camp (27–31 July, 9 am–12 pm): Forensic‑style investigation camp for ages 8–11.

3‑2‑1 Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum

• Storytelling – Maya and the Beast (26 July, 4–5 pm): Free read‑aloud session for kids aged 7–11.

• An Athlete a Day (27–31 July, 10–11 am): Daily storytelling and museum tour celebrating global athletes (ages 7–15).

Fire Station

• Design it, Paint it, Wear it! (27–31 July, 4–7 pm): Fabric‑painting workshop led by artist Noha Abuela—turn your own clothes into wearable art.

Qatar Museums Public Art Department

• Technical Talks – JEDARIART (29 July, 7 pm): A session at Fire Station Cinema featuring muralists Dimitrije Bugarski, Mubarak Al‑Malik, and Fatima Al‑Sharshani.
